La Pompe Jazz – August 13, 2016:

La Pompe Jazz is a Gypsy Jazz band that combines elements of the Parisian jazz style originated by Django Reinhardt, and fuses those influences with American Standards. The band will have a special guest vocalist, “Sweet B.” With influences such as Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, she will be sure to transport you back to the swing era. La Pompe Jazz has been playing in and around Denver since 2013 and continues to revive excitement surrounding this energetic music style.

Gypsy Swing Revue – August 20, 2016:

Gypsy Swing Revue is a Denver-based band that has been called “ridiculously talented” by the Denver Post and “ABSOLUTELY the best django/gypsy jazz/parisian jazz/hot club band in Colorado,” by Denver’s well renowned jazz club, Dazzle. The band’s founder, Elliot Reed has spent countless hours creating his own original arrangements of the 1930’s and 40’s music inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. The Gypsy Swing Revue consists of a traditional acoustic Gypsy Jazz ensemble: two Maccaferri guitarists, a violin, upright bass and vocals.

Gentlemen, polish your shoes, ladies, pull out your summer dresses, and get ready to twist, twirl and dance the night away this summer, in celebration of the newly restored historic Union Station.

ZoZo Outdoor has teamed up with the Community Minded Dance (cmDance) and the Colorado Swing Dance Club to present swing dance events for the public on Saturday, August 20th and 27th 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The outdoor events, which will be held at Union Station, at 1701 Wynkoop, Denver, CO 80202, will feature live music performed by stellar local jazz bands, and is open to the public, free of charge.

Non-profit organizations The Colorado Swing Dance Club and cmDance, focus on inspiring great attitudes and building courage and self-esteem through the delight of swing dance.

“It’s truly inspiring to see new couples come out for the first time; many start out a little timid and uncertain about the footwork, but by the end of the night, they are laughing and swinging like pros,” said Caryn Carrasco, founder and executive director of cmDance.

“It’s a great pleasure for everyone, whether you’re a novice or professional dancer. We offer several opportunities for people to put their attitude shoes on and come out and show off your moves,” said David Vinson, public relations coordinator for the Colorado Swing Dance Club.

RTD Selects ZoZo Outdoor to Provide Marketing Services

Agency is the first to provide outdoor advertising on Access-a-Ride buses

ZoZo Outdoor has been selected by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) for a three-year, $300,000 contract to market outdoor advertising space on its fleet of Access-a-Ride buses. The Denver marketing agency is the first to provide outdoor advertising on RTD Access-a-Ride vehicles.

Access-a-Ride vehicles supplement the larger RTD fleet of public transit buses and light rail by providing individualized service to disabled riders. The contract creates an opportunity for Denver metro companies to optimize visibility of their advertisements by reaching a large and wide-ranging market.

With 324 paratransit vehicles in service around the Denver metro area, the Access-a-Ride Program is one of the largest of its kind in the nation. Collectively, the buses log about 870,000 miles per month, or 90-100 miles per day. traveling through the metro area.

The Access-a-Ride buses do not adhere to fixed routes or timetables. Paratransit riders from Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties can take advantage of this service, as long as the starting point and destination are within 3/4 mile of RTD’s local fixed-route transit system.
